Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania. She is an actor from Romania and Germany. Her best-known films include Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. She was the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareu. Alexandra started her showbiz career from a young age. When she reached the age of sixteen, she had secured leading roles in several shows on television. After her critically acclaimed role in the TV movie Der Tunnel, Alexandra went into other notable characters like Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge on Downfall. Downfall was nominated for an Oscar and was a critical as well as commercial popularity. The other Oscar nominated films featuring the actress include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra is well known for her participation in a variety of noteworthy projects both domestically and internationally.
