Aisling Bea

Aisling is an Irish-born comedian who has been around for quite a while. She was born in Kildare, Ireland on 16th March 1984. She appeared with Stephen Fry on QI. Aisling CliodhnadhSullivan (born 16 March 1984), also known as Aisling bea Aisling Cliodhnadh Sullivan, is an Irish comedian, writer and actress. Bea was first able to make a name for herself in stand-up comedy in 2011, following small parts that she acted for Irish and British television dramas from 2009. Bea began performing often on sketch comedy and sitcoms from 2012. Following her award at Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2011, Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2011, she began appearing on numerous panel shows, where she's currently a regular. She was a member of the 8 Out of 10 Cats team from 2016 to 2017 and was an ongoing contestant on its spinoff 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Her parents are Brian and Helen O'Sullivan. Sinead, her sister, was also born. In 2012 she became the second woman to ever receive the So You Think That You're Funny award. Bea is her maiden name to honor her late father. Aisling Claiodhnadh Sullivan was born 16 March 1984 from Kildare, County Kildare. Bea's father Brian was an equine vet, who committed suicide when Bea turned three was a sufferer of self-harm. The news of his suicide only after the age of thirteen. Bea chose to stage her name Bea to pay tribute to her father who passed away. Bea also published an article published in The Guardian on her family's suicide story. Bea (and her younger sister Sinead) were raised in the same home as Helen Moloney who was a educator and jockey trainer who was a professional jockey. She and her family loved racing, horses and the racing industry. As a young girl, Bea was a tour guide in the Irish National Stud however she was aware from an early stage that she was not attracted to the race industry for a profession, but instead loved performing.
